Corrosion and Deposit Monitoring
As part of a comprehensive water management plan, our technicians
analyze system environments for levels of corrosion and scaling and their rate
of occurrence to make treatment recommendations for control and prevention.
Common treatments include:
- Adding protective coating to equipment
- Reducing oxygen levels in hot water
- Introducing corrosion and deposit inhibitors
After a treatment program is in place, its effectiveness is measured
by:
- Testing oxygen levels, microorganisms, and
minerals present in water
- Inspecting tubes and lines for failure
- Inspecting metal equipment for cracking,
pitting, leaching, and other corrosion indicators
