Watertech is excited to share that Brenden Nihart has joined our team as a Water Quality Specialist. Brenden brings a wealth of experience in water quality science, having earned his Master of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s School of Freshwater Science. During his time at UWM, Brenden was part of a team conducting cutting-edge research on wastewater monitoring under the guidance of Sandra McLellan. His work in McLellan’s lab helped track the spread of diseases through the testing of municipal wastewater—the contributions from their team has grown to be part of a national surveillance program that has become a key tool in public health monitoring.

 

Brenden's journey with Watertech began as a Field Services Intern, where he quickly demonstrated his dedication and expertise. Recently he moved into a new role as Water Quality Specialist. In this role, Brenden will focus on ensuring water safety and protecting systems from waterborne pathogens. His responsibilities will span both technical service and sales, with an emphasis on fostering strong customer relationships and contributing to the growth of our business.

 

Brenden shared, "My time at Watertech has been an incredible opportunity to apply my background in water sciences to real-world challenges. I’m excited to continue growing in this role, learning new solutions, and working alongside a great team to advance water safety programs and policies. My goal is to contribute to the ongoing progress of water safety in protecting public health while supporting the continued success of Watertech."
