On July 23rd, the Watertech staff participated in the 29th annual Lombardi walk/run in Milwaukee to raise money for cancer research. The Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation hosts a variety of charitable events including: dinner balls, golf outings, motorcycle enthusiast meet-ups, dinner and wine tastings, as well as the annual walk/run. 

These fundraisers provide financial support for the twelve Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinics throughout the state of Wisconsin. The proceeds from these events are also used to support cutting edge cancer research at the Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center with the assistance of the Vince Lombardi Gene Therapy Laboratory and Cancer Immunotherapy Program. Since its inception, the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation has funded 36 cancer research projects in all, even donating $1 million towards acquiring the CyberKnife, the first, non-invasive program of its kind in Wisconsin. 

It's our mission is to protect our community's water. However, we also feel it is our responsibility to reach out in other ways, and this was a terrific opportunity to do so!  To learn more about this incredible foundation please poke around on their website!
